I have a notebook and its keyboard it damaged so I need to deactivate it and only stay using the usb external keyboard that I have... can anyone help me with this?
I don't believe there is a way to disable a laptop-keyboard without physically taking the screws out and pulling some wires out. What's wrong with the keyboard anyways?
its with some king of tilt from the begging of the boot until now... Its like the keyboard was bad connected you know... its printing [2~ all the time, this doesnt affect the GUI apps but when Im on the terminal it rights ~~~~~~~~~~~ all the time, its impossible to work this way... And I know that the keyboard of the notebook its like an PS2 or Serial keyboard it is on the xfree86 config...
but if I good remember the xfree only change configurations for the X and note for the shell...
but I cant use the term like I said so Its hard to find the xfree config file...
No no ...
a have debian installed here for the last 6 months and this error occours in the linux and windows and in the boot before any OS os MBR been loaded... its like some disfunction withe de default keyboard that send a wrong electrical signal interpreted by the OSs like some commands... it is a PS2 keyboard but there is no plug tu desconnect (notebook) so I have to do by deactivating the device on the OS... in windows I can Deactivate in the Hardware Profile ... but I want in linux
I just want to make my notebooks keyboard unable tu send signal tu the OS, if the OS could ignore what comes from this keyboard and only accept the usb external keyboard would be good enough!
