Hey everybody- I had a question that I've been unable to resolve, so I thought I'd ask the Linux community for some help. I consult for a nonprofit who has a bunch of movies, tapes, video cameras, etc. and so forth that they lend out to students. What they need is a piece of software that can handle these sorts of "rental" requests; date in, date out, who requested it, etc. and so forth. Ideally they would be able to log in remotely and update requests, but it would be fine if the software was local and they used one machine to update it. I've looked for inventory management and rental software but none of it seems to be what I need; they are geared more towards computer inventory and property / for-profit rental. As a nonprofit, they have a pretty small budget, so free is preferable, modest cost is acceptable, but expensive is out of the question. I'm considering simply writing a small PHP/mysql thing and throwing it up there, but if there's already a solution out there I'd love to save myself the time (and them the money). I'd prefer a Linux solution, but Mac or Windows apps are not out of the question. Thanks so much in advance!
