OK, as i'm a newb/noob/boon/idiot(?) to linux, i have found not all my hardware works and i therefore need drivers. Thats not a problem, after a quick search, i find what i'm looking for. In this case its a driver for a 2wire PC adapter.

"Great" I say, download the file, and open it. I see a readme file. This tells me 'i need to create the drivers myself'. So after following the instructions (type gmake followed by the makefile path) linux decides not to make the file.

Ok...

And now i'm stuck.

If anyone can please help me create a file i'd be eternaly gratefull.

If there already is a makefile shouldn't you just have to issue the "make" command to compile the drivers? Is there a configure script?

Also, make sure you have your kernel sources installed.
