Creating a symlink for /dev/dvd

HI am trying to create a symlink for /dev/dvd so that I can run MPlayer but I forgot how to. Can someone help?
Also it says that libdvdread can't open device w/ libdvdcss and libdvdread can't open /dev/hdc/ for reading and finally couldn't open DVD device /dev/hdc...any suggestions?

if you're trying to play dvd's in MPLayer, /dev/dvd should work.

The reason why you can't play DVD's is because you need the missing files you mentioned. It has to do with legal reasons or something so you have to go find those files. ONce you install them, then you can play DVD. My mplayer is set to /dev/dvd, I believe (I'mat work using NT).

ln -s /dev/hdc /dev/dvd
and you'll have to download the libdvdread package
