Control-Alt-Delete to bring up logoff prompt

I like the feature of Knoppix which traps Ctrl-Alt-Del and pops up a window which offers CANCEL/ LOGOFF/SHUTDOWN etc.

How do I change this behaviour? I realize there is a CtrlAltDel trap in inittab, but what program do I run to get the above?

Thanks
MD

Just customize your keyboard shortcuts, like so. I'm assuming, of course, that you're using KDE. It's a different place to configure keyboard shortcuts in Gnome.

I don't run a X shell - I'm running at level 3 (text console). Is there another way to trap this?

I'm confused. If you're running text-only, how would a command "pop up a window"?

It can't, unless you want to load the xserver, which is silly if you're doing it just to shut down.

I'm hoping to trap ctrlaltdel to run a program which sends a message to console (with warning), etc. but does not logoff.

You're right that the popup would be when running a shell....
