contiguous desktops in Red Hat 8.0 Gnome

I've used Red Hat 7.3 and I could get gnome to give me several contiguous desktops (i.e. I could drag a window between desktops and move between desktops just by moving my mouse off the screen). Can I still do this in Red Hat 8.0?

That is a function of the window manager. The default WM in gnome2 is metacity, which was written from scratch. It doesn't have that feature AFAIK (edge flipping), but I expect havoc wouldn't object to having it added. Patches welcome Otherwise go back to sawfish
