Contact Limit with gaim

I installed gaim and tried to import my contact list but it says something like "Can't add contact (no name) to list. Mainly it is because the maximum amount of buddies in your list is reached.

so i have about 200 contacts in my list and it's annoying that i can't add them.. is there any way tu increase this maximum amount?

I'm not an expert, but I think the 200 buddy limit is imposed by aol and you can't change it. I have the same problem so I put the sns I don't talk to very much on a second screen name, since you can have two Gaims running at once :-)

yes but the problem is that i used trillian on windows, and transferred my contacts to the icq server via miranda, and there i lost my namens, so i only see the UINs, and that for (i counted) 265 contacts.. thats a lot of work to find the people i talk to *g*

i wrote an mail to one of the devs i hope they change the limit *g* and i hope it's possible at all

I think I had like 2 or 3 contacts when I used AIM. I don't even know over 200 people, as I use MSN at work cause that's what they want to use for Internal messaging and I don't even have 20 on that list...

Use IRC, its better anyways...
