connecting to a Windows machine

I'm desperately trying to connect to a machine running Windows 2000. No matter what I try seems to work even though I think I selected the proper networking options when I installed Suse.

I do get the following message when I click on the network:

The lisa daemon does not appear to be running.
In order to use the LAN Browser the lisa daemon must be installed and activated by the system administrator.

I've tried everything I could think of. Doe anyone have any suggestions?

Don't know which version of SuSE you run, kdenetwork3-lisa-3.1.1-14.i586.rpm is the one for SuSE 8.2.
barrabas:/usr1/ftp/jul03 # lisa

This is the LAN Information Server LISa 0.2.3
It is free software according the GNU General Public License

Have fun ! :-)

There are many tools you can use with samba, some with GUI configs.
e.g Komba, KSamba, KSamba-plugin ... search on http://freshmeat.net
