Configuring Apache for localhost only

I'm having trouble finding something that explains how to do this. If anyone could point me to something or tell me how, I would appreciate it. I want only me to be able to access files on the server. Will "Deny from all" do this?

I'd also like to know how to set the htdocs folder so that I can edit files and the user nobody can edit files in that directory.
