My new closets solution to this issue is currently a program called eterm. Install it, and its normally executable name is Eterm. Run it for the first time without any arguments to get familiar with it to see if it will suit your needs.
You can turn off the scroll bars from within the program. Once you have finished setting up the settings as you wanted and saved them, you can close the program and re-execute it with the argument 'Eterm --buttonbar=off'
This will turn off the menu bar and you will have a truly borderless console!
Too bad it does have a more functionally menu system or more customizations, plus tabs. But oh well. Hopefully KDE will soon give us the option to run konsole without borders for REAL! Stupid little inner frame.
