Command line direct connect client?

Does anyone have any experience in using a command line client for direct connect? cccp, plain dctc or something I haven't heard of?

I have dctc and cccp installed, but I can't figure them out. A couple of quick examples on how to use these programs would be greatly appreciated! (Setup, connecting, searching & downloading.)
