Client command in Linux

Hi,

Trying to use client command to test Squid install.
Received command not found error.
Is there a different command to use at the terminal to try to bring up a website?
Squid version 2.6STABLE

I am confused about this client command.
I think it is a Linux command, however it could be a program that is part of Squid and I don't have on my system.
It is included in Squid source according to this article, but I didn't compile Squid from source.
How would I get this program if it is a program?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I had to install the Squid Client via the package manager.
However, I still cannot use the 'client' command to call up the URL at command line to test Squid.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Thanks

You probably mean 'squidclient', which is a tool to grab websites out of the squid cache. The command is 'squidclient', not 'client'.
