Clamscan didn't clean

Quick Question. I have fun clamscan three times and have used it the way the documentation told me. I used:

clamscan -r /
clamscan -ir /

they both come back and tell me that I have two viruses each time but it doesn't seem to clean it. I can't find it in the documentation or the man clamscan or man clamdscan. What switch am I missing. Thanks

From the man pages for clamscan
Code:
--remove
              Remove infected files. Be careful.
the -r option is just for recursive operation
