Cinelerra Freezing on load

As the title indicated Cinelerra is becoming non responsive. When I load it up I get the splash screen which goes through fine. Then all the windows pop up, and I get the tooltip. At this point the only thing I can interact with and get a response from is the tooltip window which I close. Now if I try to click on anything at all I get no response, this includes the file menu. I've tried compiling the source off of their website but the same thing occurred.

If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate the help. I have version 2.1 Installed.

Hi,

You might want to take a look at Cinelerra's Documentation, especially Chapter 15. My first guess would be:freeing shared memory (15.3).

Although some people get a message about this (freeing shared memory), I did not get one the first time around and Cinelerra was 'unresponsive' until I increased/freed the extra shared memory.

Hope this helps.

Unfortunately none of this worked. It looks like this is a known bug as I've found a report of it in the bugzilla.

Thanks for your help though.

Well I finnaly tracked it down to xcb support in libX11. Compiling libX11 without xcb support causes the program to work quite well.
