As the message says... don't run it as root. It's a HUGE security risk, and the behaviour is very clearly deliberate. There isn't a "solution" as there is nothing to solve. I presume you got the message below though? And it does VERY clearly state a work around, which you should NOT do.
"Google Chrome can not be run as root.
Please start Google Chrome as a normal user. To run as root, you must specify an alternate --user-data-dir for storage of profile information."
