CentOS PHP question

I'm running CentOS 5.2

I need PHP to be compiled with mysql libraries.

PHP 5.1 does not come this way by default. The instructions I have say:

Quote:
Unix users, at least the ones who know what they are doing, tend to always build PHP against their system's libmyqlclient library simply by adding the --with-mysql=/usr option when building PHP.
Since I did not have to build PHP as it was installed with the OS, how do I get this done?

Check for a package with a name like php-mysql or mysql-php. I think it's php-mysql. I'm not with a CentOS/RHEL system right now so please check for your self. You can install it with
Code:
# yum install php-mysql

Hi.

CentOS 5.2 has a php-mysql package - there's no need to re-compile.

Thanks for the replies.

I did the yum install php-mysql

worked fine. I'm still getting the error message though.
double checked I had run the right command by running it again ...here is the output:
[root@netcarstop ~]# yum install php-mysql
Setting up Install Process
Parsing package install arguments
Package php-mysql - 5.1.6-20.el5_2.1.i386 is already installed.
Nothing to do

However I still get the error message saying that

vBulletin 3.7.3 requires that the MySQL functions in PHP be available. Please ask your host to enable this.

I am the host .... Any other ideas on how to get past this?
