Question cdemu compiled and installed still not working

Hi there!
I just compiled in my SUSE 10.3 the cdemu, vhba, libmirage, gcdemu.
When i write "cdemud" in the terminal, it shows:
Quote:
Starting daemon locally with following parameters:
- num_devices: 1
- ctl_device: /dev/vhba_ctl
- audio_backend: (null)
- audio_device: (null)
- system_bus: 0
cdemud: cdemud_daemon_initialize: failed to open control device /dev/vhba_ctl!
Daemon initialization failed: Failed to open control device.
i try modprobe and i recieve:
Quote:
FATAL: Module vhba not found.
Any ideas?
I searched already Google, but i cannot find a detail HOW-TO for cdemu installation - if somewhone has it, let me know. Thanks

I am running Fedora 8 and installed via rpm and had nearly the same problem and that being lack of documentation. I went to the cdemu mail list archives and found a way that works for F8 and probably the same for any distro.

I opened a terminal as root user and entered:
Code:
# cdemud --daemonize --num-devices=1 --system-bus
then changed directory to where a video.iso was in my home directory and as regular user enter eg:
Code:
$ cdemu -b system load 0 image.iso
and the image loaded and played so now at least I know cdemu works but haven't tried it on any other image files yet such as bin, cue, nrg etc.
