CD ripper and audio converter

Well I tried to look for a place to download Sound Juice Ripper, but guess it's a GNOME only app. I like GNOME, but my distro doesn't come with it...

Anyway, now I guess is a good enough excuse to look for a better ripper since I really don't like grip all that much.

Well... all I really want to do is rip to flac. The main issue that I have with grip really is just the filename and directory name. It uses all lowercase and underscore. I tried to find a way to change this, but haven't had any luck.

For the converter, I want it to be able to convert to either variable ogg vorbis (preferred) or variable mp3. I believe Sound converter only converted to fixed bitrate for both mp3 and ogg.

Oh, and a ripper that generates an m3u file would be good too.

The options you're looking for in Grip are under Config/Misc tabs. There are a couple of checkboxes to enable/disable those options.

And to create .m3u files is under Config/Encode/Options.

Didn't see that... Well I knew about the m3u, which was the only good feature I thought grip had...

Now about a converter. Anything that converts to ogg vorbis from flac? I mean the one with a variable bitrate, not the fixed bitrate one. I know Sound Converter does fixed bitrate, and that's the only one I've tried. I've searched for some on sourceforge, but I'm not sure if they convert to ogg or ogg vorbis.
