cannot start vnc server


[root@localhost .vnc]# /etc/init.d/vncserver start
Starting VNC server: 1:mike [FAILED]

Any ideas why I cannot start VNC server ?

you dont have it installed? some libraries are missing? the script is faulty?

...check out the log file / try to run it in the foreground
