Can only load XP pro, no linux

I installed Windows XP last night for a lan party, which was an awful mistake, but anyway. I can no longer load into linux. I know the windows bootloader wrote over grub. I tried setting my boot partition as active through fdisk, but I just got a blinking cursor. I can not get into linux and didn't make a boot disk. My redhat disks are in my dorm room, i won't be there for a while. Is there anyway I can fix this without a bootdisk or redhat disks. When I set my linux partition as active, it has errors loading the operating system.

You'll need to have some kind of bootable disk. You can probably get a floppy image for your version of RedHat as well as the tools to create it in Win9x/ or NT (possibly XP?).

Why not just burn the Redhat cds over again? If you don't have broadband, it will still be quicker than waiting to go back to your dorm room. If you don't feel like burning them you could ask someone else to,

Hasn't your install CD got a rescue option somewhere? That oughta fix it ...
