can any1 help me 4 C language in redhat?


hi frens,

Is there any built in C compiler on redhat 9 or i have to add myself? where can I find? plz help.

gcc should be already compiled and working. If not you can get it from your install cds.

sorry, I am a newbie, dunno where to start, is it on the disk 2 under development? How do you reinstall?

Firstly, open a console and type in
Code:
whereis gcc
I receive the following:
Code:
gcc: /usr/bin/gcc /usr/man/man1/gcc.1.gz /usr/share/man/man1/gcc.1.gz
which tells me that it is installed.

hi there

if u do not have gcc instlled then

go to ad/remove appliaction /packages submenu
there choose gcc in the development sectioon and it will automatically install and ask for the required CD
