Can't play Ogg Theora Files

I recently decided to try out the Theora video format. After I converted a mpg video to Ogg theora with ffmpeg2theora, and attempted to open it with xine, xine complained that it could not open it because it could not recognize the file, even when it loaded the Theora plugin. I also tried to to this with other media players. I am currently at a loss as to how to open the file.

I'm using the most recent versions of libxine (1.1.4) and ffmpeg2theora.
