I have a box that's been running for about a year and a half nonstop. I'm trying to do some diagnostics to find the bottlenecks and realize it doesn't have iostat or mpstat on it. I tried:
and got an error:
Code:
[root@mydomain /]# yum install iostat
Gathering header information file(s) from server(s)
Server: Fedora Core 1 - i386 - Base
retrygrab() failed for:
http://fedora.redhat.com/releases/fedora-core-1/headers/header.info
Executing failover method
failover: out of servers to try
Error getting file http://fedora.redhat.com/releases/fedora-core-1/headers/header.info
[Errno 4] IOError: HTTP Error 404: Not Found
I found this page which suggested a fix:
http://fedoranews.org/tchung/howto/2...-yum-404.shtml
but it doesn't find the new urls either:
Code:
[root@mydomain /]# yum install iostat
Gathering header information file(s) from server(s)
Server: Fedora Core 1 - i386 - Base
retrygrab() failed for:
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/1/i386/os/headers/header.info
Executing failover method
failover: out of servers to try
Error getting file http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/1/i386/os/headers/header.info
[Errno 4] IOError: HTTP Error 404: Not Found
I know you're probably thinking 'fedora core 1?? he should upgrade!'. This is precisely what I am trying to do, I just wanted to get an idea of where my system bottlenecks are before investing in the new machine/setup costs/software, etc.
