building GUI from Bash scripts

Hello everyone,

I have some BASH scripts, and I want to make them a more comfortable for the user to run (environment wise), something like visual studio provides (win form).
Are there some softwares that can assists in the construction of something like this under Linux?
I emphasize that the idea is only visual. all the scripts are written and I want a way to allow the end user to select parameters and running in a visual and more comfortable way.

Thank you
Amir

I recommend and use YAD, a zenity fork.
I have some examples here.

Have fun with it!
It's pretty addictive...

There are handful of gui-style dialog programs you can use in scripts, such as zenity and kdialog, but do understand that they only offer a limited set of pre-configured popups. They're probably good enough for most scripting work though.

If you need a complex gui, then you'll have to switch to a language that offers interfaces to real gui libraries.

You might also consider the curses-based dialog. Not gui, per se, but you can make cli work more "user-friendly" with it.
