btdownloadheadless.py and btdownloadcurses.py?

previously, i was using mdk9.1 and i always use Bittorrent "btdownloadheadless.py" command.

Now in suse8.2, btdownloadcurses.py gives me the following error.

Textmode GUI initialization failed, cannot proceed.

This download interface requires the standard Python module "curses", which is unfortunately not available for the native Windows port of Python. It is however available for the Cygwin port of Python, running on all Win32 systems.

You may still use "btdownloadheadless.py" to download.

this is actually not a big problem as i use headless instead, but just curious what r the differences.

enlighten me please, thanx.

I had the same problem, abeit under Gentoo.

Something disagreeing between wxPython and X support for bittornado, I think due to X not being running.

Uninstalled BT and wxPython, then reinstalled BT without X support, and its back to normal.
No idea how one would disable X support in SuSE tho.
