Hi,
Im a newbie to linux so the answer to this is most probably very simple :-)
I was recommended to install bastille as it is quite a good firewall. I did this and couldn't find anything in the Menus so i went to the bastille directory to run it from there. I guess the one to run was "bastille-firewall", i did this but I got an error. It said that "bastille-ipchains" wasn't in /sbin. "bastille-ipchains" was in the same dir as "bastille-firewall" so i copied it to sbin but still no luck.
Im most probably doing something completely wrong so any help is much appreciated.
Thanks for just reading and even more thanks if you reply.

can you please not ask the same question more than once. starting a new thread for this problem is fine, i would say you shouldn't ask it in that other one as well, it can get confusing.
well ipchains is OLD and deprecated now in favour of iptables (since the 2.4.x kernels came into use) althought you can still use ipchains if you really want, it's better to keep up to date. like i said in my other reply, i recommend firestarter for setting up a firewall. all these applications generally only act as a front end to iptables or ipchains, so the fundamentl concept is the same.
On my LAN I have installed a Mandrake SNF 7.2 Linux with Postfix, Fetchmail and Squid.
But I need Hylafax too.
Newest RPMs are installed and sending Faxes from the server is possible.
/var/spool/fax/hosts.hfaxd the IPs of the clients are set, a user called fax is set but Cypheus and WHFC crashing - I think its a Firewall-Problem but Protokolls 4559,4557 and 444 are open -
So whats the Problem ?
