Banshee Music Sharing

Hello everyone. I'm still pretty new to Linux, but I was wondering about a music sharing problem. I'm just starting to use Banshee at the moment (if someone thinks there's something I should rather be using I'd like to hear) and I don't know what I need to change to get it to share music. I mean, I know how to set Banshee so it allows sharing of music, but I know there's some sort of software change I need to make as well. If someone could explain what I need to do I would be grateful.

Ok, I'm living in a college dorm right now and the floor is all on the same network. Most people on my floor have itunes and there are several times that I'd like to listen to the music they have shared over the network. However, when I go to listen I have a problem. The list of other people who are connected and sharing music shows up, however, when I go to connect to one it doesn't work. It says it's connecting, but never does. Any thoughts?
