Banshee-"Argument out of range"

System stats:

openSUSE 10.2
3 gigs of ram
ati x800xl vid card
Asus A8V mobo
Seagate Barracuda 320gb SATA 7200rpm

Ok so I went to add in some mp3's to my library and when i import them through Music->Import Music i use local files and then i select all the songs i want it doesn't import them and gives me an error log.

Error:
Code:
Index is less than 0 or more than equal to the list count.
Parameter name: index
0
Now i went and updated Banshee following the directions that were up on the banshee website and did it through the zen updater utility and then i went to import the songs again it gave me a different error but it looks like the same but worded differently.

Error after updating:
Code:
Argument is out of range.
Parameter name: index

Lightbulb Possible Garbadge in Tags

Hello,

I had this same error recently, I did some research and found that there was garbage characters in the music's ID3v2 tags...I used a program called "Audio Tag Tool" and cleared all of the ID3v2 tags and my music imported just peachy.

So, if anyone else Googles to this thread with this problem, check your music file's tags to make sure they didn't corrupt. I've also had issues with editing the tags with Banshee so, I'd refer to a tag editing tool for now. Audio Tag Tool is nice because you can edit multiple files at a time.
