avscan (clamAV) & Firefox

I am in the process of configuring a machine that will sit outside the DMZ where we can download files and then the goal is to scan them for any viruses that might infect a Windows PC. I installed avscan and love the application but I am trying to find an add-on for firefox with no avail. Does anyone know how I can set-up my box to scan the files during the download process?

You could use squid and squid-clamav or squid with dansguardian
