Automate Xlock?

How does one set xlock to lock the screen automatically much like xscreensaver? i looked in the man pages but didn't find it and quite frankly i am not even sure how to pass multiple options. regardless though. i simply need a means to secure my system automatically after a certain amount of idle time. i know this may seem simple but i just can't seem to find it. any push in the right direction would be appreciated. TIA

Which distribution you have?

In Xandros, I'm able to go to the

control center -> display -> screen saver

and have screen saver to ask for a password.
Why don't you fiddle around in your control center.
If still stumped, let us know which distribution you
are using.
