Autofs Mount problem

hello all,

I'm having a strange problem in which one of my linux servers which does alot of automated work via many cron jobs is mounting the same file system multiples times. I can not run a "umount" on the file system for some reason either which fixes it when i try and duplicate the problem manually. Here is the output of a df command:
df

Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00
77163464 8812708 64367808 13% /
/dev/sda1 101086 23780 72087 25% /boot
tmpfs 960052 0 960052 0% /dev/shm
//chistaging/setups 209720508 140217044 69503464 67% /mnts/chicago/staging
//chistaging/setups 209720508 140217044 69503464 67% /mnts/chicago/staging
//chistaging/setups 209720508 140217044 69503464 67% /mnts/chicago/staging

Has anyone seen this before or have an idea on how to fix. there is nothing in /var/log/messages regarding this. This is a RHEL 5.3 server.

Thanks in advance!

Try using lsof to see if you can see what process or file is holding open the file system.
