AutoCAD Replacement?

I'm trying to get someone to change to linux... his only problem is that he need autocad for work. Are there any replacements that are free... and use the same file format?

Go to freshmeat and use their search ...

search for both CAD and Autocad
individually. It will come up with several
CAD programs, and a few import/export
