Aterm and tinting

I just downloaded and installed aterm for the transparency. I an running it by typing 'aterm -tr -sh 50', and my background picture that I set with bsetbg is not being displayed in the aterm window. It displays whatever I last set witt bsetroot. However, if I just use 'aterm -tr', the picture displays fine in the aterm window. What am I doing wrong?

I would recommend setting the tinting, etc through the ~/.Xresources file. Here is the aterm section of mine:
Code:
# ************************* ATERM *************************
Aterm*background: black
Aterm*foreground: White
Aterm*scrollBar: false
Aterm*transparent: true
Aterm*shading: 40
Aterm*font: 9x15
Just include a line called Aterm*tinting:

You can give it an RGB value or even use one of the many color names in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/rgb.txt.

Using ~/.Xresources will have aterm pull the configurations from that file, and you won't have to call aterm with all those arguments to get the effects you want.

Hmm...apparently all I needed to do was restart X, cause after I did that for something, I brought up an aterm and it had shaded transparency. Oh well
