Question apt enabled cdrom


Can someone help me with apt
What are the commands to use apt on a apt enabled cdrom?
like............apt-get "/mnt/cdrom" install mplayer
have tried every thing of my head but i cant get it to work

Synaptic works ok but it doesnt let me go to a spacific dir on the disk.

why don't you just copy the files over and then use dpkg. that would be the easiest, then once they are installed you can just delete them, from your /home/.

The reason i want to use apt on this disk is.
I got it of a friend and it has a sh*t load of stuff.
I want to use apt so when i install something it will install dependencies as well.
