Have been fighting continued Apache problems but not sure about this one.
I have an "A record" in my /etc/hosts file, so the domain should show, but getting this set of errors:
Code:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Not sure if this is related to why I cannot render:
Code:
localhost/phpmyadmin
or
localhost/seopanel
I wrote those 2 issues up here in other threads also.
It has come to light that this person is running an IT business listing fake "capabilities" to lure and befuddle unsuspecting victims.
A search for their username should turn up 2 wordpress blogs, one of which contains the attached list of "capabilities" as well as a link to another site containing even more nonsense/presumptiousness.
I will not link these sites.
But I think anyone attempting to help someone who's so habitually exaggerating/pretending/overbearing to obviously oversell their questionable services, should know about these things first.
I wrote this a while ago; it still applies, I checked.
TBotNik is also in the habit of not listening to the advice given (or at least not showing us that they're acting on it), but instead bumping their threads with meaningless requests for more help.
Often after a long time.
Have a look at their posting history.
A typical "don't search, but hit-and-run" help seeker - in addition to the more serious situation outlined in the quote above.
Posted this out on the Apache Lounge Forum and finally got an answer. See once you declare any virtual host, localhost is no longer recognized, but they showed me a way to define localhost as __default__ so that it is also read as a virtual host and therefore will properly render.
Since all of that is new to me, I'm reading and trying to understand all of it before making changes to the needed Apache config files, as it appears I have serveral places to edit before all this starts working again.
