apache logs centos

Hi, my apache with default config generate logs with:

"access_log.4" day 1 to 8
"access_log.3" day 9 to 14
"access_log.2" day 15 to 23
"access_log.1" day 24 to 29

and "access_log" with actual day, the logs of the last month has been automatic deleted, can anymore explain me about this?

Thanks.

Hi, in /etc/logrotate.d/httpd i have this code:

Quote:
/var/log/httpd/*log {
missingok
notifempty
sharedscripts
postrotate
/sbin/service httpd reload > /dev/null 2>/dev/null || true
endscript
}
Is normally explained in the first post with this code?

Thanks.
