Question Another Kmail, Kontact & Thunderbird question

I'm still on my quest to get Kmail and Thunderbird to use the same mail folder. I know that kmailrc points to the location of the kmail folders, i.e. inbox, outbox and so on, but can anyone tell me which config file actually defines these folders ? In other words which file actually tells kmail to use a folder named "inbox" and a folder named "outbox".
This may be an impossible task but at least it keeps me from playing in the street. :-)

Hi ogee,

this may not be what you want, but have you considered using IMAP instead of POP? In that case you could switch mail user agents (or even computers) whenever you please without ever having to worry about the physical location of your emails.

Hi FogSwimmer,
Actually, I had thought of IMAP but I need to get the corporate mail which is POP and besides a lot of times I've found that IMAP can be kind of slow. I've used Thunderbird in the past on both the Win and Linux side and both pointed to the same directory which worked fine. No matter which side I was on I could check mail and it would be up to date. Now I want to do the same thing but I want to use kmail since it is part and parcel with the Kontact PIM. If I could find another PIM that used Thunderbird I would jump on that.
