Another Fluxbox Slit question

How do you save the slit configuration. I can get a few things to run in the slit. (still having problems with other, see other post) but I don't know how to save the configuration. The documentation just says save the configuration and edit the ~/.fluxbox/slitlist file. I couldn't figure out how to save the configuration so I created a slitlist file but they still don't automatically load.

Thanks,

The slitlist only tells Fluxbox in what order to arrange the applications. In order to have them load automatically, you need to specify elsewhere.
If you load X with "startx" or "xinit", you can place the applications in ~/.xinitrc
If you use a GUI session manager like kdm, I'm not sure....
If you use fluxbox development, there's a ~/.fluxbox/apps file you can use.
My preference is the last one, since you can load apps for Fluxbox only. Instead of adding the applications themselves to ~/.fluxbox/apps, though, I just added a command to launch a script that runs all my startup stuff (a little more convienient to be able to use bash script for some things)
