Animated lilo

Inside SUSE i edited my lilo.conf unfortunately i had the wrong partions allocated in the file. Obviously the Linux kernal won't load. I got into rescue mode and edited the lilo.conf to the correct partitions and saved. But, i can't run /sbin/lilo -v to reload lilo it is giving me and error saying
Sorry don't know how to handle device 0x0103 does anyone have any ideas.

THanks

you may need to chroot into your linux system?

'mkdir /mnt/suse'
'mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/suse'
'chroot /mnt/suse /bin/bash'
'nano -w /etc/lilo.conf'
'/sbin/lilo'
'exit'
Ctrl+Alt+Del
