An Alternative to the "sc_trans" (Audio Streaming)

I'm streaming audio via shoutcast, using the sc_trans transcoder...I would like to know if there's an alternative to sc-trans, cause it isn't user-friendly and I have to make playlists everytime....I would like a program or plugin like the Shoutcast DSP plugin (winamp), which interacts with an audio player.....

Thanx!

you and me both

im trying to find an lternative to sc_trans too, i find it too buggy and unfreindly for my liking, (namely, try WINCH'ing past a dsp linein, it gets stuck! lol)

lemme find a few links ive dug up.....

theres muse, which tries to be a DJ studio. it seems to work, but i havent had time to test it properly, and if you are streaming to more than one server, you need to set the servers and encoders ont he command line. muse lives here: http://muse.dyne.org/

theres also the radio freedom howto, here: http://www.radio-freedom.co.uk/Suppo...urce-HOWTO.txt that gives a fairly good howto on using darkice and xmms (much like the windows winamp and shoutcast dsp). the "links" in that text page dont work, but they cal all be found on its parent page, here: http://www.radio-freedom.com/rfdjhelp8.html

hopefully these two will provide something usefull for you.

unfortunately, im still stuck with this, i need to broadcast 2 streams (one at 24k, one at 64k), and for some reason, it seems like the hardest thing in the world to do under linux!
