AGPGart

Need this for my i810 chipset vidcard, but xfree86.org says it should come with my Linux kernel.

After finishing up XF86Config and running startx, I get a generic error message. I check the log, and find this line:

(EE) Unable to open /dev/agpgart (No such device)

Anyone know how to get AGPGart and remedy this?

Which distribution are you using? Depending on how you installed Linux, you will probably have to recompile the kernel with agpgart support for your chipset in it.

Slackware 8. I found a patch that might fix this, will try after dinner and report results.
