Adobe reader 7 does not work.

It looks SUSE 10 specific problem. I already checked Software forum but there is no similar problem with other distro. I also have Mandriva 2006 installed on my Laptop and adobe reader 7 works fine on that computer. Right after I installed Suse 10.0, adobe reader 7 worked fine. I didn't have a chance to used this program about two months or so. Over that time I updated every security patches. Last night I tried to launch adobe reader but I was not able to do it. So I reinstalled rpm but so far no luck. I even tried with the tar ball file with no luck.
So I am guessing somehow my system got screwed up with patches.
Is anybody having the same problem ?

See if there're any hidden files at your home directory related to adobe reader (something like /home/simjii/.adobe, for example) and remove them. It should start working after that. If it does not, you could use another pdf reader, like xpdf for example

Mega Man X,

Thanks for the quick reply.
I deleted ~/.adobe/ but no help. It does not start even after I deleted the hidden directory.

Thanks anyway.

Very very odd. Try reinstalling the rpm again and/or try to run the program as a different user.
