Hello
I just changed from suse to fedora and i am not really sure how to add new repositories with yum. Can someone help me ? And are there any good repositories i shoud know about ?
Usually you just download some sort of release rpm package from the repository you want to use, install the rpm and YUM is automatically configured. The livna repo is pretty good and has many good third party packages.
Be very careful about mixing repos. Atrpms has made many fedora users do a clean reinstall. Atrpms will replace core components that are not compatable with core or extras (fedoras install repos). Livna is considered the "standard" for fedora. Freshrpms is close behind. Both of these mix safely with core and extras. There is some danger mixing Freshrpms and Livna but seldom is this very serious.
