No, the kernel is not involved when compiling this application.
Some 64-bit libraries are. Though, I don't see any arch issues in
the config files. May be in the source code ?
.....
And here ... another possible solution ...
( But still, is tested on 32 bit only.)
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...1.fc12.src.rpm
> gnuplot-4.2.6-1.fc12.
src.rpm = source code + a patch,
used to build " gnuplot-4.2.6-1el5.noarch.rpm " etc.
with the command : # rpmbuild -bb gnuplot-el5.spec
( The 'noarch' should be x86 ( or x86_64 ) : is a harmless bug.)
The edited spec file is attached as gnuplot-el5.spec.txt
Please install ( unpack ) gnuplot-4.2.6-1.fc12.src.rpm
to /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES/ , with the command
# rpm -Uvh gnuplot-4.2.6-1.fc12.src.rpm
May not work ... if so, please ...
1) cd /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES/
2) # rpm2cpio gnuplot-4.2.6-1.fc12.src.rpm | cpio -idmv
