a good mp3 player?

I just installed MDK 10.0 (official). Being new to linux, i was just wondering what is a relatively all around good mp3/audio player? Also, the sound difference in xp compared to MDK is quite substantial! That or could it be a driver issue? I run a 400watt Logitech speaker system...and it would be great to get the same quality "kick @ss" sound. Thanks!!!

A good mp3 player is xmms:

http://www.xmms.org/

it's most likely shipped with Mandrake. Try installing from your CD's first. If you think that it's already installed, open a terminal and type "xmms".

Mplayer can also play mp3's in both gui and terminal...

mpg321 is also a good CLI mp3 player

Good luck!
