A Few progs i need..

Well, i usually show off the fact that i use linux, to look cool, but i just realised, i'm never going to be a real guru unless i ditch XF86 and start using Terminal! so i'd like to know what terminal-based software i could use to do the following things:
Use MSN Messenger
Use AOL Instand Messenger
Play MP3s
that's all...
thanks..
oh, and how do i go into directories like 'Program Files' that have spaces?
thanks
Gnute

IM's... not familiar with any console clients, but my portage tree suggests

caim, ntame both for AIM. there was a msn one, can't remember it now.

mp3.. mpg123, mpg321, mplayer.

cd /windows/Prog[press tab][press enter]

Look none of this is going to make you look like a guru for linux unless you know a whole lot more than popular programs but try freshmeat.net

Hi Gnute,

I posted this link in another thread somewhere as well:
http://linuxshop.ru/linuxbegin/win-lin-soft-en/

It is a list full of windows programs and their linux counterparts.
Both terminal and graphical stuff together.
Just follow the links.

Cheers,
Jan
