8kSTACK vs 4KSTACK in kernel - how to determine?

Is there some means of determining what parameter was used to compile a kernel, other than looking at the config file? Is a value for 4KSTACK accessible from a running kernel, or any other means to determine whether a kernel is using 4KSTACK?

Thanks,

Matt
