4GB+ files on linux

I'm trying to extract an iso file thats larger then 4 Gig.
I know fat32 doesnt support files larger then 4 gig...but how do linux users do it?

I'm not planning on installing Windows...

Most Linux filesystems support files bigger than 4 gigs so there is no problem similar to the FAT issue in Linux.

What's the target file-system? Are you using a /tmp
partition too small/too full for the task? The days
of file-size limits and that magnitude are long gone
for all of Linux' native file-systems.
