2 ?'s about j2re/sdk and kde header files
First, how can I install j2re 1.1.x to 1.3.x? Apparently, SuSE 8.2 doesn't want to come preinstalled with it but still comes with apps such as OpenOffice.org that require java. I installed j2re and sdk 1.4.1 and that seems to work. I hope atleast. Also, what's a good java ide for linux? I'm using jcreator on my win partition but I don't like switching the windows.
And about the header files. I'm trying to install some theme for kde. The name includes "High Performance" and a name starting with an "M" but that's besides the point. When I ./configure, I get an error message stating that the prefix doesn't have the kde header files. So I tried --prefix=/opt/kde3.0/include. That still didn't work, but one would think that it should since header files (I believe) are in the 'include' directory for c++.
