Hey i have mandrake LE 2005 (10.2) and i have tried compiling numerous things which require kde headers, i always get an error after running ./configure saying there are no kde headers in the directory, am i pointing to the right directory? if not, why arent these headers on the cd! i can download them, but then i have to download its dependecies which adds to 200mb, i dont really want to wait for that on a 56k connection which is restricted to 15k (see my post in the linux newbie forum)
so am i suppose to be setting a different prefix when compiling programs? or do i have to download them, its a shame that the headers aren''t on the cd...
Do i have to download the packages because i can't seem to find the devel packages for kde on the mandriva cd which is a shame, the cd has everything i need, except kde library files which youd thin kare more important that 500 (exaggerated) video and sound players.
The devel packages should be somewhere on the installation CD's. If you can,t find them then youhave to download them. If you have the instlation CD's you don't have to install the packages manually, just use the software tool in Mandrake Control Center and search for KDE packages.
